Frequently asked questions

Classic and Swap, no small print.

What is the difference between Classic and Swap?
In Classic you play the whole season with the same partner, and you go up or down as a team. In Swap you sign up on your own and the app assigns you a different partner every matchday, with an individual ranking. Same league, two ways to compete.
How many players does each mode need?
Classic needs eight players at the very least, that is four pairs. Swap needs exactly 4, 5, 8 or 9 players, because the algorithm relies on those precise figures so that everyone plays with everyone else without repeating a partner.
Is there a mixed category?
In Classic there is: you can compete in the men's, women's or mixed category. Swap only has men's and women's, so that divisions stay even in level and pace of play.
Who picks my partner in Swap?
The app does, every matchday, with automatic balanced pairings. Over the season you end up playing with everyone in your division without repeating a partner.
In Swap, is the ranking mine or the pair's?
Yours. The Swap standings are individual: they score your own merit, not that of whoever you were paired with. In Classic the standings belong to the pair, and promotions and relegations are decided as a team.
